World Record Confirmed!
Late last July we put up a news story about our involvement in a Guinness World Record attempt for the World’s Largest Treasure Hunt organised by Newcastle University, with help from us in putting together the treasure hunt sheets and documenting the big day when 1001 kids sleuthed their way along the Newcastle-Gateshead quayside. Well, it took a long time to make it official but finally we’ve received confirmation! Congrats to Newcastle University from all of us here at Roots & Wings. It was lots of fun and we’re proud to have been part of it. Here’s a link to the Guinness webpage in case you think I’m just making this up:

Furthermore, the record was previously held by the Olympic Games 2012 and was intended as part of the legacy of the London Olympics. Well, it looks like we messed that one up for them by blowing their record out of the water. I’m not sure where this ‘London’ place is, but then again, I’ve never been further south than Scotch Corner. Anyway apologies London, whoever you are.
