Friends of Jesmond Library

After Newcastle City Council’s decision to close Jesmond Library in March 2013, a group of local residents decided to set up a working group to fight the closure and run the library on a volunteer basis. Friends of Jesmond Library is now a limited company and a registered charity and the library doors have re-opened. Roots and Wings were approached by Friends of Jesmond Library for a website, branding and accompanying promotional material to advertise the revamped library’s services. Friends of Jesmond Library aim to turn the library into a community hub to be enjoyed by book-lovers of all ages. www.jesmondlibrary.co.uk
