Pollinator_Sign

Newcastle University commissioned Roots and Wings to create bespoke wooden signage for their pollinator garden, comprising of a laser etched wooden panel and six posts with augmented reality QR codes, providing a short piece of video and audio about the importance of insects such as bees and butterflies for the fertilisation of a wide variety of the foods that we find on our supermarket’s shelves. The aim of the project was to raise awareness about biodiversity, in particular declining pollinator populations, and a few simple steps you can take in your own back garden to help conserve these declining populations.
