RISE

Branding and website dedicated to children and young people’s mental health

Following on from our CAHMS service design investigation Roots and Wings worked with Newcastle Gateshead Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust (CNTW) to develop branding and a website to support their team of professional Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPS).  The RISE team works with children in schools across Newcastle and Gateshead to help manage their emotional and mental health wellbeing at an early stage to help prevent problems from becoming more serious.

In consultation with young people who have experienced mental health services we renamed the initiative ‘RISE’ as we felt it best evoked the natural, positive tone that the website seeks to encapsulate, as well as reflecting the outcome the service aims to achieve. Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, content and resources developed by teachers have been freely available for users, including videos and activities around the topic of mental health, as well as providing signposting for help and support.

Note: As of 15th February 2021 ownership of the site will transition (seamlessly) from CNTW to The Children’s Society and we’re excited to be involved in the site as it continues to grow and develop.
