The Journey

Roots and Wings provided branding, design and consultancy for an exciting new space in Newcastle City Centre dedicated to cycling and sustainable transport. The Journey, which opened in May 2015, represents an ambitious partnership between Sustrans, Recyke y’bike and Colour Coffee, three brilliant and ethically minded organisations, and aims to get more people travelling healthily and sustainably by selling refurbished bikes at affordable prices, carrying out bike servicing and repairs, and providing information on healthier travel options. And lest we forget, they also sell some of the highest quality caffeine in Newcastle courtesy of local progressive speciality coffee roasters Colour Coffee. We hope that The Journey develops into a nexus for sustainability and is successful in encouraging people to traverse the city in ways that are healthier for both the environment and the individual.
